Iowa Lightning

Quite the light show rolled through Central Iowa last night. My husband and I drove up the road about a mile or two to get some shots. I mounted my new Gorillapod on the side of the car and we sat there and enjoyed the show. Could not believe the amount of lightning coming out of these storms. This is the best attempt I’ve ever had at taking decent lightning shots, such a challenge!!

All images were taken with a Canon EOS 550D (T2i). Exposure time was 5.0 seconds with an f-stop range of f/5-f/7 and an ISO of 400. Enjoy!
