Hello! My name is Stephanie Coffman. I am a photographer whose day job is genetics data analyst/researcher. I reside in Iowa with my husband Jessie (awesome timelapse photographer) and our three cats Dave, Walter and Henry. We were both born and raised in Iowa and love to travel and express creativity through photography.
Photography has been an interest of mine since I was a kid (thank you dad!). My first regular photography subjects were the many quarter horses that my grandparents raised through my teenage years. By the time I graduated college, I had a Canon EOS Rebel XTi and was discovering my love for landscape photography. Today, I continue to specialize in landscape photography and have recently begun dabbling in aerial photography/video.
I am a hardcore researcher when it comes to planning vacations. I love exploring potential destinations through Google Earth, topo maps, hiking guides/websites and 4x4 trail books and will spend days and weeks putting together rough photography-oriented itineraries for each of our big trips.
Back in 2018, I finished my master's degree in genetics while working full-time (I do not recommend this approach) and only since 2020/2021 have I started to feel more inspired once again. I'm working on several ideas for creative projects and am looking forward to sharing them with you all.
